Florida Manufacturing & Distributing Co., Inc. was established in 1955 as a “For The Trade Only” importer and manufacturer to meet the needs of the interior design market, retail chains and the contract furniture market. From it’s humble beginnings as a family run business it’s now a one stop shop for all wholesale design requirements and Florida Manufacturing has built a reputation for unique styles ranging from casual to exotic. In the past years, Florida Manufacturing has witnessed an exceptional growth in business in all sectors including the retail chain markets and marine outfitting markets. However, Florida Manufacturing’s sales and in house design consulting staff continue to concentrate on assisting individual interior designers from across the nation in all of their design needs which range from selection of a single special piece for a home to outfitting a hotel or residential complex.

Florida Manufacturing has long been established as a custom manufacturer and importer of high-end residential upholstery, wood, laminates, wicker, rattan, iron and stone furniture. Complete accessory lines are also carried.

In the past few years Florida Manufacturing has been applying it’s custom approach to the hospitality and contract markets and has received very positive responses from contract customers. This resulted in an increase of hospitality and contract furniture lines, some of which are now specifically made for the company’s expanding export markets which include South America.

Florida Manufacturing is able to offer exceptional quality and service to it’s clients for reasons including long lasting and loyal relationships with it’s factories overseas as well as it’s Miami based production complex. The facility is capable of design, manufacture and customization of furniture as well as custom finishes, design modifications and upholstery changes on products made in it’s Asian factories. Any and all special client requirements can be easily accomplished. Factory craftsmen can turn, for example, a TV armoire into a fully functional wardrobe armoire within days (or vice versa). Hundreds of finish color options are available or clients may create their own. Thousands of mill fabric swatches are available for selection or clients may supply their own material.

The residential division continues to grow as well and Florida Manufacturing has responded to new growth with even newer designs of wall units, upholstered furniture, and bedroom collections. The company also carries a fabulous line of indoor/outdoor rattan and metal furniture that is constructed of the most durable and attractive rattan available and a line of outdoor patio furniture that’s simply stunning. Though restaurants and hotels nationwide make use of both lines, individual sets may be purchased for residential use. This growth prompted the need for the Boca Raton showroom as well as the permanent showroom at High Point. Plans are under way for an Orlando showroom. A Nevada based distribution center is being organized to service the West Coast and should be operational shortly.

The company Chairman, Stanley Ferber, sits on the board of the Florida Association of Furniture Makers and has mastered multiple manufacturing techniques that are applied to the company’s marine outfitting division. These include custom upholstery, furniture and cabinets specific for yachts of various sizes.
